Our ingredients are derived from recovered organic plant sources chosen for their beneficial cosmetic properties. During the extraction process, we use fermentation to generate amino acids and peptides that are more concentrated and easily absorbed, aiding in skin cell regeneration and increasing collagen production.

Ingredients used in natural skincare require a significant amount of precious natural resources, such as land and water, to produce them. Biotechnology and green chemistry allow us to extract high-purity, potent natural ingredients that are effective, transparent, and fully traceable because the planet comes first.

When we talk about natural skincare, we often envision ingredients extracted from plants and fruit growing either in the wild or out on the fields, under the sky and sun, which is, of course, why we love them. The problem, however, is that the rapidly growing natural cosmetic industry is now competing with food for land and water to grow its ingredients. And that is happening at a time when scientists say we need to more than double the use of agricultural land by 2050 to feed the world population. We believe that the cosmetic industry at large needs to dramatically reduce the use of virgin raw materials and move toward a planet-friendly circular model. After all, oil pressed from strawberry seeds is still the same oil if that strawberry was first juiced for food. So why grow strawberries, or any crop, for the cosmetic industry alone? After all, you can't eat a moisturizer.
OUR PROCESS
Fermentation and green chemistry are our primary extraction methods. We utilize plant sidestreams native to the Nordic and Baltic regions, working with the local organic family farms that grow their own organic produce as well as prepare food and drink from it. During the harvesting and juicing period, our partner farms generate over 500kg of pulp daily, which is collected by us and processed together with our Bioengineering University partners.
OUR INGREDIENTS
We are currently working with two family farms, developing upcycled cosmetic extracts from the organic pulp left after mechanical juicing. Our immediate focus is a range of oils, powders and extracts we get from Sea Buckthorn and Rhubarb. We are slowly expanding to include a whole range of berries, herbs, vegetables and fruit into our offering.
